Medigap or Medicare Advantage: 7 questions to ask yourself
Everyone at the senior center has an opinion, and they all contradict each other. This quiz will not pick a plan for you. It asks how you use health care, what you want to spend, and how much flexibility matters, then hands you a short list of questions to bring to a licensed agent.

- Seven questions, about two minutes
- No recommendation, just better questions
- Everything runs on your device
- Results are educational only
Seven quick questions about how you use health care and what matters to you. There is no right answer. At the end you get a list of questions to bring to a licensed agent, not a plan pick.
Question 1 of 7
When you picture seeing a specialist, what matters more?

How the quiz works
Each answer leans a little toward one path or the other: Medigap, Medicare Advantage, or genuinely mixed. The path with the most leans wins. If your answers split evenly, the result says so plainly instead of forcing a pick.
The result is not a recommendation. It is a personalized list of questions about doctors, drugs, costs, and timing, the same questions a good agent would ask you in a first conversation.
How to use this quiz
- Answer all seven questions, picking the option closest to your situation.
- Read your result. It hands you questions to ask, not a recommendation.
- Bring the question list to a licensed agent to compare real plans.
The scoring rule
Score for each outcome = points from every answer leaning toward it Winning outcome = the highest score Tie = genuinely mixed, stated plainly instead of a forced pick
Skipped questions add no points.
Common questions about this quiz
Is this quiz a recommendation?
No. It is educational. Your answers produce a list of questions to bring to a licensed agent, not a plan pick. No quiz can replace a conversation about your doctors, prescriptions, and budget.
What is the basic difference between Medigap and Medicare Advantage?
Medigap works alongside Original Medicare and helps pay what Medicare does not, with wide doctor choice and a monthly premium. Medicare Advantage is an alternative way to get your Medicare coverage through a private plan, usually with networks, copays, and bundled extras.
Can I switch between them later?
Sometimes, but the rules differ. Moving from Advantage to Medigap later can involve health questions in most states, which is why the quiz asks about future flexibility. A licensed agent can walk you through your specific timing.
Does this quiz send my answers anywhere?
No. The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is saved, sent, or sold, and there is no account or signup.
